Pilipaa won the championship in the girls 18 division Wednesday at the Haili volleyball tournament. The Big Island club defeated Hi Intensity of Honolulu 25-17, 25-16 in the final at Afook-Chinen Civic Auditorium.
The tournament, which runs through Saturday, continues today at Hilo Civic (10 a.m. start), Hilo Armory (10:50 a.m.), Kawananakoa Gym in Keauhaha (3:50 p.m.) and Waiakea gym (5:30 p.m.).
